How much grass seed do I need?

Now that you determined what varieties of Agway Grass Seed best suit your needs, you can calculate how much seed you need for your specific project. The chart on the right, shows the Spreading Rate in terms of "pounds of seed to spread per 1000 square feet" and also shows how many square feet  a specific bag of Agway Seed will cover.  If you have an older Agway Brand Spreader, the spreader settings will be shown on the seed bags. If you have recently purchased a new Agway spreader (fall of 2005 to present), the spreader settings for Agway seed were provided with the spreader.
