Break his Barking with an E-collar Solution

Dogs bark. It's through their bark that dogs communicate with each other, and with us. Most owners appreciate a quick bark to signal that someone is coming up the front walk. On the other hand, it can be frustrating when dogs bark constantly, seemingly for no reason at all.

If you want to hush the nuisance barking of your pet, you might consider one of today's electric bark control solutions or e-collar. Note that these products help deter nuisance barking and will not stop a dog from barking completely. When provoked, a dog will bark to protect its family or itself no matter how significant the correction.

How they work

Most bark control collars feature a small battery-powered case attached to a collar. A sensor touches your dog's neck, and detects the vibration of his vocal chords. When it detects a bark vibration, the electronics instantly delivers a correction to the dog.  Petsafe also offers collars that include a microphone, and require a simultaneous vibration and audible sound to trigger the correction. This feature ensures that only your dog's bark causes the correction.

Dogs learn best through well-timed repetition. The automatic bark collar takes the guesswork out of training your dog. It delivers precise, consistent correction, even when you can't be right next to your barking buddy.

Various forms of correction

Spray bark controls send a surprising mist of spray towards the dog's snout when they bark. Dogs quickly make the connection between their bark and this quick spritz; they learn to stay quiet to avoid the correction. Three spray refills are available: lemon, unscented or citronella.

Sonic and ultra-sonic collars use sound to signal the correction. Ultrasonic tones are high-frequency sounds, inaudible to humans but annoying to dogs. You can choose from sonic/ultra-sonic collars, or a free-standing unit for table-top or handheld.

Static stimulation: Many bark control collars use static stimulation as a form of correction. The dog's bark is met with an electrical tingle; the feeling is similar to walking across carpet on a dry day and touching a metal doorknob. These collars generally have several levels of correction; so whether your dog has a mild temperament, or a stubborn streak, you can use the right level for your pet.

Pet lovers report great results with these bark control solutions. Studies have shown that nuisance barking is dramatically reduced within the first week when worn consistently.
